History

KKBB was originally known by the call letters of KCHT airing a Top 40 music format branded as "The Heat". The music programming was syndicated by ABC Radio Networks.

In 1994, ABC Radio Networks ceased syndication of their Top 40 "Heat" format. KCHT changed their call letters to KOQQ then KKBB and adopted a classic rock music format that lasted until 2003 when the format was changed to rhythmic oldies, rebranded as "The Groove".

Programming

The weekday programming on this station includes local hosts Christina Martinez on mornings, program director Louie Cruz on middays, Emilio on afternoons, and Lisa St. Regis on nights.
