(2003)"The Invisible Band" is the third studio
album by the Scottish band Travis, first released in 2001. The title of the album reflects the band's feeling that their music is more important than the band making it. The title may be an allusion toAdam Smith 's "invisible hand ".It was also mentioned by Fran Healy that the title also refers to a band heard frequently on the radio, but the public only know their songs and not the band, as well as not knowing what they look like.
The album spent its first four weeks at the UK #1 album spot, and sold in 4 weeks what "The Man Who" took in 26.
