Asteroids discovered: 2 1605 Milankovitch April 13, 1936 1700 Zvezdara August 26, 1940 Petar Đurković (Петар Ђурковић) was a Serbian astronomer known for discovering two asteroids. One is named for the Serbian scientist Milutin Milankovitch, the other for Zvezdara, the hill in Belgrade where the Belgrade Astronomical Observatory is located.[1]
Asteroid 1555 Dejan, discovered by Fernand Rigaux, was named after Đurković's son.
