The Kara Darya ["Darya" means "river", so Kara Darya "River" is a tautology.] or Qaradaryo ( _ru. Kapaдарья) is a river in Central Asia, flowing through the Fergana Valley, where it is used for irrigation. In the Fergana Valley its confluence with the Naryn River (at coord|40.9|N|71.75|E|display=inline,title) forms the Syr Darya. There are several dams on the river.
