A snowball (cake) is a chocolate cake covered by marshmallow with coconut sprinkled on top. It was invented by Frederick Raydehl of the Hostess corporation. Snowball cakes consist of a mound of semi-solid marshmallow-like substance, on a shortbread base and all covered in chocolate and coconut shavings.
When Halloween comes, Hostess changes the name of the Snowball to 'Globall' and makes them orange.
