Beth Sorrentino is an American pianist and singer-songwriter from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In the early 1990s, Beth, Ken Heitmueller, and her brother Jay Sorrentino formed the indie pop band Suddenly, Tammy! which released several EPs ("Spokesmodel", "El Presidente") and albums ("Suddenly, Tammy!", "We Get There When We Do") under independent and major record labels. Following the band's split in 1997, Beth went on to record a series of demos between 2002-2003, produced by Irwin Chusid and engineered by Peter Katis. Interested in returning to public performance, Sorrentino approved the demos for digital release in 2006.
