website = http://www.hornbillskyways.comHornbill Skyways is a regional charter helicopter service operating in towns and rural area in
Sarawak ,Malaysia . The Sarawak state government owns most of Hornbill Skyways. It was established in 1977 as a private entity, operating 1 unit fixed-wing

In 1985, Hornbill Skyways was taken over by the Sarawak state government through share acquisition by Yayasan Sarawak and Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC).Their current fleet consists of 3 Bell 206L LongRanger IV, 2 Bell 206B JetRanger, 4 Eurocopter EC135 P2, and 1
Bell 430 helicopters. Hornbill Skyways also owns two private jets, 1 Cessna Citation X (9M-ATM ) and 1King Air B200GT (9M-WSK), for exclusive use of Sarawak top state government officials. From 2003 until 2008, Hornbill Skyways operated and maintained
Dornier 228 owned bySTIDC .In 2003 Hornbill Skyways took over Vision Air Malaysia together with 2
Dornier 228 (9M-VAA and 9M-VAM) after Vision Air Malaysia ceased operation. [http://www.travelweeklyweb.com/article.asp?id=1357] However Hornbill Skyways ceased operating the 2 Dornier 228 in 2008 when both aircraft were sold to Nepal.Incidents
Hornbill Skyways has had a few aircraft incidents. However, most incidents were not due to Hornbill Skyways' fault, but rather the climate in the interior of Borneo.
