=Athletics=

Heber Viera was only 0.2 seconds from qualifying for the second round of the 200 meters, but all three Uruguayan runners failed to advance beyond their opening heats.

Men's 200 metres:

Men's 400 metres:

=Canoeing=

Urguay's lone canoeist in Athens was never a threat to the leaders, but was fairly competitive with canoeists from Chile and Croatia in both events, holding them off to avoid finishing in last place.

=Cycling=

Track Cycling

Defending points race silver medalist Milton Wynants won the first of the 2004 points race, combining that with a lap of the field to give him an early lead, but could not repeat this level of success, earning only one more sprint and one more lap the rest of the race. In the Madison, the Uruguayan duo only earned three sprint points, and never managed to lap the bunch.

In the Mistral, Segura never managed to crack the top 25 in any of the 11 races. Foglia, a man, did cross that barier, but never finished higher than 17th in any race.

=Swimming=

None of the five Uruguayan swimmers finished in the top half of the field in their respective races, but none most finished ahead of at least 10 swimmers.

Men's 100 metre Freestyle:
