Kobada'Statistics Island: São Nicolau Covada (Portuguese meaning cove, Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: Kovada or Kobada, São Vicente Crioulo: Covada or Kovada) is village in the northern part of the island of São Nicolau.

Geography
Covada features farmlands in the valley areas, forests dominate the western part and the slopes of the valley with some grasslands and bushes, the unvegetated portions covers the slopiest areas and the higher elevations as well as the eastern portion. The mountain cliffs lies around the area. Cliffs and steep and treacherous ledges dominate the valley area.
Information
Most of the houses are built with mud-brick and stone, the rest are concrete or sand with stone and some houses are built with brick and steel reinforced concrete. The area is in the island's low class. A part of the needy materials comes from the island capital, the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications, appliances and street lights are partially available in the area as well as phone lines since the late-20th century. A part of the necessities also comes from the island capital.
