Talis James Colberg was appointed by newly-elected governor

Before his appointment, Colberg was a solo practitioner in
Palmer, Alaska and an adjunct History professor atMatanuska-Susitna College . Colberg succeededDavid W. Márquez .Colberg graduated from Palmer High School in 1976, after which he attended
Pacific Lutheran University (B.A. 1979) andPepperdine University School of Law (J.D. 1983). He has completed his Ph.D. atUniversity of Alaska . His dissertation title is "M.D. Snodgrass: The Founder of the Alaska State Fair"Colberg was an Alaska delegate to the National Youth Science Camp in 1976.
Colberg lives in Palmer and is married with two daughters.
