Beit HaArava Junction

Beit HaArava Junction

The Beit HaArava Junction ( _he. צומת בית הערבה) is the junction of Israel's Highway 1 and Highway 90, named for nearby kibbutz Beit HaArava. The junction is situated in the West Bank near Israel's eastern border with Jordan, directly east of Jerusalem, just a few kilometers north of the Dead Sea and south of Jericho. Its trempiada (hitchhiking stand) serves traffic northward through Beit She'an until the Tsemach junction, southward past the Dead Sea to Eilat, and west to Jerusalem.
