Heron Gate is the name given to the neighbourhood in South-East Ottawa.The boundaries are Heron Road from the north, Albion Road on the west, Conroy Road on the east and Johnston Road in the south.

Heron Gate is the most dense neighbourhood in the city, and the second most dense census tract.

There are several parks in the neighbourhood, and served by Ridgemont High School) for education. The area has a midsized mall called "Heron Gate Mall" and train tracks to the south. It is a high density, working-class neighbourhood with a many apartment buildings and townhouses. The vast majority of properties in Heron Gate are rental units. At the moment, Heron Gate is growing a great community of new homes, and the real state business is giving a great value to this central area of the city
