Jeffrey M. Nick has been Chief Technology Officer at
EMC Corporation since September 2004. He has a major role in the direction of EMC's technology strategy and in the evolution and advancement of EMC's information infrastructure capabilities, related platforms, software, and services. He holds more than 50 U.S. patents in computer systems technology.Nick was formerly best known as an
IBM Fellow , considered to be the highest honor a technologist atIBM can achieve, and as Chief Architect for IBM's Project eLiza andgrid computing initiative, responsible for distributed systems technical strategy across IBM’s eServer family of computer systems. He joined IBM in 1980 as a developer in theS/390 MVS operating system, having received graduated a Bachelor of Science degree fromMarist College .Nick has served on the
