Salah Ahmed Ibrahim(1933 in
Omdurman -15 May 1993 ),Arabic صلاح أحمد إبراهيم, was a Sudanese writer, poet anddiplomat .Writing
Salah Ibrahim was described in 1963 as the most important Sudanese poet of his generation, and that: "in his poetry there is all the yearning, all the frustration of his generation. He writes his poetry with miraculous ease and beauty." [p. 40, Institut français d'archéologie orientale du Caire, "Sudan Notes and Records", Khartoum University Press, 1963] . Ibrahim was also noted for his socialist realist fiction, of which he was a notable proponent [p. 641, Helene Henderson, Laurie Lanzen Harris, Jay P. Ibrahim graduated from
Khartoum University ,Faculty of Arts . He maintained an involvement in politics, and was eventually SudaneseAmbassador toAlgeria [p. 276, Mom K. N. Arou, B. Yongo-Bure, "North-South relations in the Sudan since the Addis Ababa Agreement", 1989, Institute of African and Asian Studies, University of Khartoum.
