'Mohammed Moftahh Rajab Elfitory '' known as El fitory (? ), Arabic محمد الفيتوري,is a very famous writer, poet, playwright, of Libyan and Egyptian ancestry.

Early life

Alfituri was born between Egypt and Libya. His mother Aziza Ali Sa'eid originally was from Egypt. Her family moved to Libya and then to Darfur, Sudan. Alfituri 's father moved from Libya to Darfur before the First World War, under the pressure from the Italian colonial government.

Career

Alfituri received his education in Alexandria, Egypt, where he joined Al-mahad el-dinnai, or Religion Institute. Then Alfituri moved to Cairo and joined Al-Azahr, Faculty of Science. Alfituri worked as an editor for many Sudanese and Egyptian newspapers. Alfituri was appointed as an expert in the Arab League (1968–1970), and also as cultural consultant for the Libyan Embassy in Italy, consultant and ambassador for the Libyan Embassy in Lebanon, and also a consultant for the Libyan embassy in Moroco. He is a member of the Union of Arab Writers.
