Judicial District of Ancash

The Judicial District of Ancash is one of the 28 Judicial Districts of the Judicial System of Peru.

The headquarters is in the city of Huaraz and its jurisdiction extends over the entire Ancash Region excluding the provinces of Santa, Casma, Huarmey, Corongo and Pallasca.

It was created by a Supreme Decree and was established on February 14, 1863 under the presidency of Ramón Castilla.
