Bridget Katharine Cracroft-Eley, CVO, JP (29 October 1933 – 29 August 2008) was a former British secretary and farmer and
Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire .The daughter of
Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Weston Cracroft-Amcotts and Rhona Clifton-Brown, she wasHigh Sheriff of Lincolnshire from 1989 to 1990. She was Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire from 1995 until her death, and aJustice of the Peace . In 1995, Cracroft-Eley received an honorary doctorate by theDe Montfort University and in 1997, she becameHigh Steward of Lincoln Cathedral .On
31 October 1959 , she married Robert Peel Charles Cracroft-Eley (d. 1996), son of Charles Ryves Maxwell-Eley. They had two children, one son and one daughter.She was appointed
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) in the 2008 New Year Honours.References
