On the other hand there are few oral traditions which say that "Mero" and "Masti" were brothers, Rind tribe is descendants of Mero and Mastoi are the descendants of "Masti" or Mir Masti Khan. While there is another oral tradition that during a tribal conflict forefathers of Mastoi fought with great bravery and chivalry and that's why they were given the title of Mast or Mast'an, which means in Balochi language brave, courageous and chivalrous. Therefore from onward as time passed that section of Baloch population came to be known as Mastoi.
Mir chakar Khan Rind united baloch tribes and took his finest army to fight Empror Sher Shah Suri on the edge of Multan to bar him entering into Balochistan. He defeated Sher Shah Suri and eventually died in 1665 in Satghara in Sahiwal District ,Punjab.
