Kanita, Aomori

Kanita (蟹田町; -machi) was a town located in Higashitsugaru District, Aomori, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 3,780 and a density of 32.48 persons per km². The total area is 116.39 km².

On March 28, 2005 the town was merged. Kanita is a part of the new town, Sotogahama.
