The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Jakarta {Latin: " Giakartan(us)"} is an archdiocese located in the city of Jakarta in Indonesia.

History

* 1826: Established as Apostolic Prefecture of Batavia from the Apostolic Prefecture of Bourbon
* April 3, 1841: Promoted as Apostolic Vicariate of Batavia
* February 7, 1950: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Djakarta
* January 3, 1961: Promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Djakarta
* August 22, 1973: Renamed as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Jakarta
