Derek Phillips (born 9 April 1975 in Port of Spain, Trinidad) is a Trinidad and Tobago footballer who plays as a left-sided defender.
Phillips has represented Trinidad and Tobago on six occasions, making his senior international debut away to South Korea in on 14 July 2004. His clubs have included Chesapeake Dragons of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), Derry City FC and Shamrock Rovers (both of the League of Ireland). He signed for Rovers in February 2005 and made 11 appearances. He has also appeared for the Kansas City Wizards of the MLS. In 2003, he played one game for the Virginia Beach Mariners.[1]
He is the son of former international goalkeeper, Lincoln Phillips.
