Lauren Bay Regula

Lauren Bay Regula (born August 9, 1981 in Trail, British Columbia) is a Canadian softball pitcher. She began playing softball at age 12, and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2004. She holds all-time OSU records for most career strikeouts, starts, appearances, innings pitched, complete games, and saves. [http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/softball/story/2008/07/30/f-olympics-regula-profile.html] She was a part of the Canadian Softball team who finished 9th at the 2002 World Championships in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and part of the Canadian Softball team who finished 5th at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Bay Regula pitched in 2005 for the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch, earning co-pitcher of the year honors with teammate Jennie Finch. In 2006, Bay signed with the expansion Philadelphia Force. Bay Regula was 17-2 with 2 saves and a 0.91 in her two seasons in the NPF.

Personal

Her older brother, Jason Bay, is an outfielder for Major League Baseball's Boston Red Sox.
