tv_com_id ="Takes Over Nick" was a weekday block that aired on Nickelodeon during the evening. For one week, a Nickelodeon star would host the block, where they would pick their favourite episodes of shows, talk to their co-stars, and answer viewer e-mails.
Hosts
The first host for the show was
Jamie Lynn Spears , who hosted for one week of Fall, 2006.Emma Roberts succeeded her several weeks later, talking to her co-stars of "Unfabulous " about their upcoming season.Drake Bell was last to host in December 2006. Unlike Roberts and Spears, who hosted from the sets of their television shows with the Big Orange Couch, Bell was the only star to host fromTimes Square in New York.Dares
During the show, the host would pick a viewer submitted dare, for either the host or the co-star to perform, during their selected cartoon. These usually involved balancing objects on their heads or performing stunts and were performed at a certain point throughout the cartoon, as in, everytime the character laughed or sang.
Big Orange Couch
This block marked the return of
Nick 's big orange couch, which was originally used during Nickelodeon'sSnick block from 1992-1999. The couch was retired in June, 1999, when the couch was stuffed with$ 25,000 and given away in a contest celebrating Nickelodeon's 20th anniversary.
