National Consumer Law Center

The National Consumer Law Center is an American nonprofit organization specializing in consumer issues on behalf of low-income people. Legal services, government and private attorneys, as well as community organizations, work with the center to advocate for consumer reform.
The National Consumer Law Center primarily researches consumer law in America and writes books for consumer lawyers and other legal advocates for those of low income.
The NCLC does not take cases for or represent individual consumers. Consumers looking for local representation should contact the National Association of Consumer Advocates [1] as they have a database of lawyers across the US who specialize in consumer and low income issues. Another resource is the Legal Services Center [2] who have listings of local legal service centers across the United States.
A page from the NCLC's website with many links for legal resources is [3].
