“With Favourite Jeans, I just decided to write a song about where I live,” Bertie says. “I walk out in the street with my jeans that are ripped to death, while everyone I pass is wearing PACK fashion. With everything being so trend-driven, there’s so much pressure to look fabulous and wear the latest designs, rather than what’s comfortable. For me, walking out my favorite splattered and worn jeans is my way of staying true to who I am.”
Bertie has amassed an impressive resume of musical credentials including collaborating with top Australian headliners,
Something For Kate ,Paul Mac ,Ben Lee andAlex Lloyd , writing music for Australian films, and gaining heavy rotations on the country’s top radio stations: the nationalJJJ network and Popular mainstream Sydney stationNova 96.9 .
