Easiest route=Black Dome Mountain is the most northerly summit of the
Camelsfoot Range , which lies along the west side of theFraser River , north ofLillooet, British Columbia ,Canada . It is an ancientbutte -like volcano located in the formation known as theChilcotin Plateau Basalts , which lie between thePacific Ranges of theCoast Mountains and the mid-Fraser River inBritish Columbia ,Canada .Location and terrain
Black Dome is located in the angle of Churn Creek and the
Fraser Canyon , 27 km southwest ofDog Creek Bridge atGang Ranch . It is the northernmost summit of theCamelsfoot Range , which lines the west bank of the Fraser north of Lillooet. TheChurn Creek Protected Area adjoins the north and western flanks of the mountain, while theFraser Canyon runs southward along its eastern flank.Geology
