Theta 2 Crucis) is aspectroscopic binary star in theconstellation Crux . It has a meanapparent magnitude of +4.72m. Since the star is a β Cephei-typevariable star , the value is not fixed but varies slightly between +4.70m and +4.74m. The period is 0.0889 days. The star is classified as a blue-white subgiant (spectral class B2 IV). θ2 Crucis is located at about 750light-year s from theSun .References
