Stan Statham

Stan Statham

Stan Statham is an American politician from California and a member of the Republican party. He was elected to the California State Assembly in 1976 and served until 1994, when he decided to run for Lieutenant Governor. He lost in the GOP primary to state Senator Cathie Wright.

Statham was known as an advocate of the State of Jefferson.

Broadcasting career

Prior to becoming California state assemblyman, Statham was a television news anchor at KHSL-TV Channel 12 in Chico, California back in the 1960's. After retiring as assemblyman, he became the president of the California Broadcasters Association.
