- Lori Healey
Lori T. Healey is the Chief of Staff for the Office of the Mayor of Chicago. Healey replaced former Chief of Staff Ron Huberman, who was named President of the Chicago Transit Authority by the CTA Board.
Healey was formerly the Commissioner of the
Chicago Department of Planning and Development, where she was appointed by MayorRichard M. Daley in 2005. Healey's strategy is to lead private sector development in "emerging neighborhoods" by public works projects.Healey worked with
tax increment financing for the Department of Planning and Development between 1998 and 2000. She was appointed to serve on the Zoning Reform Commission in 2000, where she simplified the city's complexzoning code. In 2002, she served on theChicago Housing Authority board of commissioners.Healey has a masters of
public administration fromKansas State University . She has worked in a number of architecture and development firms during her career, and directed the Federation of Women Contractors. She has served the boards of the Chicago Women in Government Relations, the Women's Business Development Center, and the Metropolitan Planning Council. She was a founding member of Illinois Executive Women in State Government."
