Eva Riccobono (7 February 1983) is an Italian supermodel.

Biography

Eva was born in 1983 in Palermo, the largest city in Sicily.Her parents are Sicilian of primarily Norman ancestry. She has 3 older sisters and a brother who died when she was 4.

Modelling career

At 14, Eva was introduced to the fashion world by photographer Luca LoBosco. When she was only 17, the Italian magazine "Corriere della Sera" named her "the new Laetitia Casta" because her face is quite similar to Casta's. From that moment, she became one of the most important Italian fashion models and started travelling between Milan, New York, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, London, Rome, Hamburg, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. She has appeared in magazine covers such as "Vogue", "Elle", "Cosmopolitan", L'Officiel, Vanity Fair and many more.In 2002, she appeared on the TV program "Stasera Pago Io" with host Fiorello, who is a popular Sicilian-born Italian television presenter. She has also posed for the Pirelli Calendar by Bruce Weber in 2003. She became one of the favorite supermodels by top fashion designers like Giorgio Armani, Gianfranco Ferrè, Dolce&Gabbana, Chanel, Emanuel Ungaro, Valentino to name a small number.

Eva Riccobono, Mariacarla Boscono and Bianca Balti are the three italian supermodels of new generation. She's also in friendship with models Natalia Vodianova, Julia Stegner, Andreea Stancu and Beatrice Borromeo.

In 2007 she became the face of Hybris shooted by rock singer Bryan Adams. Eva also signed a contract for adv campaining with Gilli, Carlo Pignatelli Couture, Alberto Biani and Kiton.

In 2008 Eva was engaged to be the testimonial for a new satellite channel about luxury and lifestyle: High Life Tv. The tv spot was directed by Ulderico Acerbi.

Eva was shoot by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz for the "Lavazza Calendar" 2009. Eva is on the cover shot.

After movie promotion she returns on the catwalks on July 2008 for the Haute Couture Week in Paris: she walks for Giorgio Armani Privè.On September she walks four fashion shows during Milan Fashion Week. She walks for Argentovivo, Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani and RoccoBarocco "spring /summer 2009 collections".Moreover in July she walks for Lancetti during a special tv show in memory of the great italian designer.

On September 2008 She became the face of Argentovivo for the "Spring/Summer 2009" adv campaign, shooted by Marco Glaviano.
