Rothwell is a residential suburb of the Moreton Bay Regional Council in the west of the Redcliffe peninsula, approximately km to mi|num=28|abbr=no|spell=Commonwealth|precision=0|wiki=yes north-northeast of Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia.

History

The suburb's name is after the president of the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland, TJ Rothwell, who in 1921 proposed a memorial drive marked by an avenue of trees to Redcliffe via the upgraded main road (Anzac Avenue). Attractions and features

Rothwell is a strengthening residential area with a growing business district, home to The Zone, a mixture of diverse retail businesses. There is a small supermarket with accompanying shops in Rothwell, but the major supermarkets are in neighbouring Kippa-Ring and Deception Bay.

Rothwell is also home of the Redcliffe Airport.
