League of Blind Women was a short-lived all-star alternative rock band that included Robert Buck (lead guitar) from 10,000 Maniacs, Jerry Augustyniak (drums) from 10,000 Maniacs, Casey Orr (bass) from GWAR, Mike Scaccia (guitar) from Ministry and Rigor Mortis, Kol Marshall (keyboards) from Critical Mass and See No Evil, and Chris Kelly (vocals). When Casey Orr left the band in March, 1999 to go back to GWAR, Mitch Marine from Tripping Daisy took his place on bass. Dave Dunn played drums with the band after Jerry Augustyniak left.

The band produced two known sets of demos, a 5-song EP (released by mp3.com), and an additional song later on. They recorded at least some of their material at Nomad Studio in Carrollton, Texas.

Robert Buck left 10,000 Maniacs for several months in 1998-1999 to concentrate on League of Blind Women and was replaced in the Maniacs by Michael Lee Jackson of the band Animal Planet. When Buck returned to 10,000 Maniacs in Summer, 1999 after LoBW split up, Jackson went back to Animal Planet, and it was apparent Buck was ill, as he'd lost a lot of weight and appeared to have aged considerably. Rob Buck died December 19, 2000 of liver failure.

In 2001, LoBW released the 5-song EP "League of Blind Women" through mp3.com. On their website, it listed the band members as: Chris Kelly - vocals, Mike Scaccia - guitars, and Kol Marshall - keyboards. There is no listing of band members in the EP booklet.
