Warren Anatomical Museum

The Warren Anatomical Museum, located at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, was founded in 1847 by Dr. John Collins Warren, a professor at the university and a collector of unusual anatomical and pathological specimens. Open to the public, it features a rotating exhibit of some 13,000 pieces. These include the sorts of oddities that Dr. Warren once collected -- the museum's most famous holding is probably the skull of Phineas Gage -- as well as objects from significant moments in medical history, such as the inhaler used during the first public demonstration of ether-assisted surgery in 1846.
