This subspecies is endemic to the
South Island ofNew Zealand . It is found at altitudes of around 3,200 ft on hills to the west side of theMataura River oppositeEast Dome ,Southland .hell description
The shell is globose and narrowly umbilicated, with the dorsal surface being finely striated.
The shell diameter is up to 39 mm, and height up to 25 mm.
