Ban Dan ( _th. บ้านด่าน) is a district ("Amphoe") of Buriram Province, north-eastern Thailand.

History

The minor district ("King Amphoe") Ban Dan was created on July 15 1996 by splitting 4 "tambon" from Mueang Buriram district. Following a decision of the Thai government on May 15 2007, all of the 81 minor districts were to be upgraded to full districts. Geography

Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Khaen Dong, Satuek, Huai Rat, Mueang Buriram and Khu Mueang.

Administration

The district is subdivided into 4 subdistricts ("tambon"), which are further subdivided into 59 villages ("muban"). There are no municipal ("thesaban") areas, and further 4 Tambon administrative organizations.
