Huntington is a major station for the Port Jefferson Branch of the Long Island Railroad. It is located near New York Avenue (NY 110) and Broadway in Huntington Station, New York, but is also accessible from Lenox Road and Fairground Avenue near East Second Street.

History

Huntington Station was built in 1867, and throughout much of the 20th century served as a transfer point between electrified portion and diesel portion of the Port Jefferson Branch. It also once served as the southern terminus of the Huntington Trolley Spur.

In the 1990s Huntington Station faced major reconstruction that included the addition of high-level platforms, parking garages, and pedestrian bridges over both the tracks and over NY 110.
