KIAL is a non-commercial radio station in Unalaska, Alaska, broadcasting on 1450 AM. The station generally broadcasts local programming, plus programming from National Public Radio and Alaska Public Radio.

KIAL-LP television

KIAL also operates an 10-watt low-powered television station on channel 8, broadcasting local programming and information, plus a selection of shows from AlaskaOne. While some sources identify the station as K08IW [ [http://electra.he.net/~swamc/images/stories/pdf/08-infrastructure.pdf Southwest Alaskan Municipal Conference - Infrastructure Profile] ] , FCC records indicate that a station with these calls, Unalaska Community Television K08IW Dutch Harbour Alaska, was allocated the new callsign KIAL-LP on August 5, 2005. A callsign of KUCB-LP (intended to match the callsign of a proposed FM station) also appears in some records, but it is unclear when (or if) this was used on-air.
