Frederick Keppel

Frederick Keppel

Frederick Keppel (19 January 1728 – 27 December 1777) was a British clergyman.

The third son of the 2nd Earl of Albemarle and Lady Anne Lennox, he graduated as a Doctor of Divinity. Keppel was Register of the Order of the Garter and Dean of Windsor. From 1762 to 1777, he was Bishop of Exeter.

On 13 September 1758, he married Laura Walpole, sister of Maria, Duchess of Gloucester and daughter of Hon. Edward Walpole, a son of the 1st Earl of Orford. They had four children, three daughters and one son.
