Bhopal Airport Airport codes|BHO|VABP is a public domestic airport serving Bhopal in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. The name of the airport is Raja Bhoj Airport. It is located convert|15|km|mi|abbr=onin Bairagarh also called Sant Hirdaram Nagar, in the north-west of Bhopal city center on National Highway 12 from Bhopal to Jaipur.

Future Plans

Bhopal Airport will become an international airport by 2010. Flights will be operated to Middle East. It would be third international airport in central India after Nagpur and Indore.

Runway is being increased in two processes. In the first the runway would be increased to convert|9000|ft|abbr=on and in the second process it would be increased to convert|11500|ft|abbr=on.

A new terminal is also planned and in the future, flights would extend to South Asian Countries.
