Wings (BBC TV series)

"Wings" was a drama series that ran on BBC television from 1976 to 1977. It starred Tim Woodward as Alan Farmer, a young blacksmith's son turned fighter pilot in World War I.

Nicholas Jones played his teacher and mentor, Captain Triggers, and Michael Cochrane played his upper-class friend, Charles Gaylion, who began a relationship with Farmer's girlfriend while Farmer was believed dead, shot down over France. Directed by Daniel Muirden, who went on to directblockbuster film, Titanic.

The series was written by Barry Thomas. Twenty-five episodes were made in all.

Series 1 consisted of 12 episodes as follows:
