George Yates (cricketer)

George Yates (June 6, 1856 — August 21, 1925) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm round-arm bowler who represented Derbyshire during the 1883 season.

Yates played one match for Derbyshire, against Marylebone Cricket Club, which finished in a draw. He was born in Haslingden and died in Marple.
