The three childhood friends found their love for music fresh out of high school and created recognition for the group in the Los Angeles hip-hop scene through energetic live shows and a strong Internet presence. In 2003, FM produced a large-scale hip hop show in Koreatown called "Movementality", to benefit a local drug rehabilitation center. Through this event they were discovered by international club/ events promoter, Carl Choi, who shared the vision of strengthening the identity of Asian Americans in the entertainment industry, helping the Far*East Movement achieve global notoriety.Forming Catch Music Group with manager Carl Choi in 2004, the group has since been developed into a rising force destined for World recognition. "Recalling the pretty trills of Cee-Lo's Gnarls Barkley recordings and the deeply infectious L.A. grooves of the Black Eyed Peas, burgeoning hit 'Round Round' is a tune these up-and-comers are wise to run with. The Asian-American trio practically has 'Next Big Thing' stamped on their foreheads." — ABCNews.com
