Nunavut Interpreter/Translator Society

The Nunavut Interpreter/Translator Society ( _fr. Société des traducteurs-interprètes du Nunavut; Inuktitut, "Nunattinni Katujjiqatigiit Tusaajinut") represents translators, terminologists and interpreters in the Canadian territory of Nunavut.

The Nunavut Interpreter/Translator Society is based mainly in Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut. The great majority of the Society's members specialize in Inuktitut/English and English/Inuktitut interpretation.

The Nunavut Interpreter/Translator Society is affiliated with the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC) and the International Federation of Translators (FIT).

History

The Nunavut Interpreter/Translator Society incorporated under the Societies Act of the Northwest Territories in 1994.
