Firewall is the eighth novel in the Kurt Wallander series, by Swedish author Henning Mankell. It is about detective Wallander's challenges in tracking criminals whose crimes are perpetrated on the Internet.

A taxi driver is brutally murdered by two young women, a man is found dead in front of an ATM, seemingly involved in some kind of grisly affairs, a woman burned to death in a power station supplying the entire county with electricity, her boyfriend being hacked to pieces on a Baltic trawler. What do these events mean, and how are those seemingly different events connected? Detective Kurt Wallander is facing ruthless opponents not for the first time, but this time they come to devastate the very foundations of the global economy and force the Western world to its knees...

This novel was translated into English from Swedish by Ebba Segerberg.
