Swiss American

Swiss Americans are Americans of Swiss descent.

There are several ethnic/linguistic subgroups among Swiss Americans, including Swiss German-speaking, Swiss French-speaking, and Swiss Italian-speaking. Reportedly, these people are sometimes mistaken for German Americans, French Americans, and Italian Americans, probably largely because of the languages they speak. Also included are those from Liechtenstein, a small principality with a customs union with Switzerland to the west and Liechtensteiners shared a Swiss/Austrian (Low Germanic) cultural pattern.
