The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is one of the four major UN office sites where several different UN agencies have a joint presence. The office complex is located in Nairobi, Kenya. It serves as the headquarters of the United Nations Environment Programme, and UN-HABITAT
In November 2004, the United Nations Security Council held a rare session at Nairobi to discuss the situations in southern and western Sudan.
