Eccleshall is a town in Staffordshire, England. It is located seven miles north west of Stafford, and six miles west of Stone. The A519 runs through the town.

The Holy Trinity Church dates from 1195. The Bishop of Lichfield had a palace (Eccleshall Castle) in the town, and the church is large and ornate with bishops' tombs. The town itself was a relatively important market town by the time of the wars of the roses, when the castle was a fleeting residence for the Queen - Margaret of Anjou. Later, the castle suffered damage during the English Civil War.

Eccleshall has seven pubs, including one brewery (which has recently moved about 6 miles away to expand), and nine other places to eat, ranging from pub food to high quality Indian food. This is quite unusual for such a small town, and is a reflection of its historical dominance in West Staffordshire, and its location on the main A519. Eccleshall is also home to a notorious gang of chavs that enjoy 'hanging' on the bench with their leader ADY, their pastimes include drinking cheap cider and smoking banned substances known to them as 'da reefa' Eccleshall is the site for a biofuel power station, to be fuelled by Elephant Grass, grown by local farmers [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/staffordshire/4593449.stm (BBC News story, 2005)] . News just in (2007): this Elephant grass is to be delivered from Cornwall.Fact|date=October 2007
