Bollinger was ejected from the competition and Sturholdt was automatically advanced to the next round.* Egan’s real name was Frank Floyd and by the rules of the AAU it was illegal to fight under an assumed name. In November 1905 the AAU disqualified Egan from all AAU competitions and he had to return all his prizes. Van Horn moved up to silver and Sturholdt to bronze. Sturholdt won the bronze medal without winning a single bout. [http://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/blog/?p=4 November 1905 Egan disqualified]
