updated = September 7, 2008Jennie Reed (born April 20, 1978) is a World and U.S. champion track cyclist and Olympian (2004). Reed won her first national titles in 1994 at the U.S. Junior Track National Championships held at the [http://marymoor.velodrome.org Marymoor Velodrome] near Seattle, Washington where she won both the 2 km pursuit and the matched sprints. The following year, she repeated as pursuits champion at the U.S. Junior Nationals. She won her first national title as a senior level racer at the 1998 U.S. National Track Championships and would later, in 2002, earn a second national title in the keirin. At the U.S. Track Championships in 2006, Reed won 3 more national titles - in the sprints, the 500 meter time trial, and the keirin. In 2008, she won her first world championship in the keirin.
