Pensacola, Florida . He played baseball for Escambia High School and for Pensacola Junior College. He was selected by theToronto Blue Jays in the 31st round (921st overall) of 1998 amateur entry draft (June Regular Phase). He has yet to make his Major League debut.He played for the Syracuse SkyChiefs and the
New Hampshire Fisher Cats last season. He pitched a total of 51 games, had a 3.59 E.R.A., and struck out 79 batters in 72 2/3 innings.In the 2006 Venezuelan Winter League, Houston finished the season 2-1 with a minuscule 0.32 ERA and six saves over 28 innings.
